Cette année dans ce Salon consacré aux médecines complémentaires, au bien-être et à la nutrition, le Village du Cannabis a ouvert ses portes pour la première fois.
Les plantes qui ont une forte teneur en CBD, sont exemptes d’effets psychotropes. Celles-ci sont autorisées à la culture et à la consommation.
C’était l’occasion pour les exposants de faire connaître une plante exempte d’effets psychotropes.
Le cannabis, connu pour ses effets psychotropes et considéré comme produit stupéfiant, est interdit à la vente et à la consommation en Suisse. Ce sont des plantes qui ont une forte teneur de molécules en THS. Ce sont précisément ces molécules qui font voir des éléphants roses à ceux qui les consomment.
Par contre, celles qui ont une forte teneur en CBD, sont exemptes d’effets psychotropes. Celles-ci sont autorisées à la culture et à la consommation.
C’est donc ce cannabis -là qui, tout naturellement, a pris sa place dans cette exposition.
C’est en médecine qu’il a fait une avancée spectaculaire ces dernières années, notamment dans le traitement de certains cancers et dans le soulagement de la douleur.
On sait que le chanvre est utilisé en construction comme isolant phonique et thermique, en navigation pour la confection des cordages.
On l’utilise aussi dans l’industrie du tissu et des cosmétiques.
Il s’avère être un bon combustible, il est aussi utilisé en papeterie.
Et on l’a essayé comme biocarburant.
En Europe, on le découvre dans l’alimentation, plus particulièrement en tisanes que l’on peut déjà se procurer dans certaines chaînes de magasins d’alimentation suisses.

Dans le Village du Cannabis, on pouvait se le procurer (pour ceux ou celles qui se soignaient déjà à partir de cette plante) ou alors faire l’achat de quelques produits pour en essayer ensuite les bienfaits préconisés.
On a vu repartir des visiteurs avec leur plant de chanvre à cultiver chez eux…
Bernard Rappaz, notre grand chanvrier national, se dit peu convaincu par cette vente licite d’un chanvre dénaturé à son sens, lui qui milite depuis des décennies pour la légalisation du cannabis en Suisse.
Pour conclure, je me demande si ce regain d’intérêt pour la filière chanvre n’est pas tout simplement un frein à la consommation du pétrole et participe par là-même à la prise de conscience actuelle de l’impérieuse nécessité de protéger notre environnement.
